Server Headers 101
For most experienced webmasters, server (HTTP) headers are a common encounter – although most of the time it’s related to something gone wrong.
The following graphic helps illustrate what server header response codes mean and some stats on each type. The most common HTTP header responses are “200 OK”, 30x redirects and 404 errors. Each response is handled differently when it is received so it’s important to know a) if you’re site or page is responding with one of these codes, and b) determining which code you should be using if there is a change needed or you encounter a problem.

This is incredible, really nice take on server header responses. I never knew what a 301 was until today.
